Plus Size OOTD: Spring Trend Mint

Hey Dolls,
The weather is finally starting to warm up in Chicago!!!! I got out of my cold weather funk and thought I would bust out one of my favorite colors...Mint!!

I really like this pinstriped blazer from Merona. The material kind of feels like you're wearing a sweatshirt, it's crazy comfortable and I love the contrast of when you roll up the sleeves. I picked up this baby at Target for only $29.99

I also picked up the mint cami at Target as well. It was also a steal at only $10. The cami is very form fitting and I feel that it's snug enough that it works as shapewear. The lace bust line really adds a feminine, sexy touch that I appreciate.

The jeans are from Not Your Daughters Jeans. I have worn these jeans in a previous OOTD. I absolutely love this jean line. I'm not sure what NYDJ does, but these jeans feel like they were specifically made for me. The jeans hug my curves, slims me, and are super comfortable.

The bangles are from Dots, I purchases these a few months ago and the watch was bought from Torrid a fews ago as well.

I'm so excited about this necklace!! It looks like I've spent a fortune on it but it was only $7.99 at Burlington Coat Factory. I fell in love with all their accessories and they are super cheap, but not in quality.

This little clutch I purchased from the Coach Outlet Store. I love the flower and stud detailing. I'm always looking for pieces that are unique and different.

Lastly, the shoes :) I picked these bad girls up at Dots a few days ago. I love the stud detailing on the toes and they have a patent finish. Super cute and edgy!!

Review: Revlon Colorburst Lip Butters

Hey dolls,
I know these cuties have been on the market for quite some time now, but I wanted to try these out and give you a thorough review on the product :)
I absolutely love the packaging. Yes, I'm a sucker for cute packaging, what girl isn't? It's simple, sleek and I love that the color of the packaging matches the color that's in the tube and so does the sticker on the bottom.

I only picked up four of the 20 colors they offer only because I wasn't really impressed in their color selection. These were the colors that caught my attention. Every girl needs a nude, pink, coral and some type of wine color in their collection :) that's my motto.

These cuties will run you anywhere from $6.99 to $7.99 depending on where you purchase them.  Since you can find them at your local drugstore you can most likely get them on a BOGO deal.

Revlon states that these are buttery balms with beautiful shiny color that will give you baby soft, healthy glowing lips. As you can see from the picture above they are super creamy and have a buttery texture. While swatching and using just a little pressure it kind of deformed the product. These butters do give off a high gloss effect that I like. It eliminates the step of using a gloss on top. Some of the butters have a creamy opaque finish and others have shimmer  in them. The only issue is when the product wears off the lips all that's left is the glitter and that's a turn off for me.

Overall I would recommend this product. It's great for everyday use. I can just grab and go, apply it quickly and I don't have to worry about applying another product like a gloss to give it shine.  Just be careful while applying because the lip butter is super soft and creamy.

Take care loves,
xoxo

OOTD(Outfit Of The Day)- Spring Florals

Hey dolls,
I don't know about you, but I'm ready for spring weather already!! Since I can't have the warm weather I thought I'd brighten my mood with fresh spring colors :)

A few weeks ago I saw these floral jeans on the Torrid website and fell in love!! I was kind of hesitant on purchasing them because I didn't know how the big bold print would look on my plus size body but I decided to jump in and purchase them right away!! I'm glad I did because they look great on me :) You can purchase these jeans here:

http://www.torrid.com/torrid/DenimBoutique/ShopAllDenim//Torrid+Denim+-+Sophia+Vintage+Rose+Skinny+Jeans-528672.jsp

Since it's still chilly outside I paired this outfit with a heather gray shrug. I purchased this item from my local Goodwill store and it doesn't have a tag :/ so I'm not sure of the brand. It's a cute, comfortable piece that has 3/4 sleeves.

The baby pink sleeveless top is also from Torrid. I'm usually not a fan of button up tops but the lace detailing on the back of this top really caught my attention. The material is so light and breezy. Since this top is somewhat sheer, I wore a white cami from Lane Bryant. You can find the baby pink top here: http://www.torrid.com/torrid/Clothing/Tops//Pink+Lace+Inset+Sleeveless+Button-Up+Top-586729.jsp

I bought this braided pearl and chain bracelet from Ebay. This piece is very unique and edgy, but also has a bit of class with the pearls.

The cute bow ring I won in a contest. It's a silver plated ring with a bow that's encrusted in crystals. The ring adds a simple feminine touch to the outfit.

My nails are a cute mint green color (Mint Sorbet from Sally Hansen) with a gold chevron nail design (Gold polish is Gold Album from the Fergie Wet N Wild collection).

Since there's a lot of color going on in the outfit I thought I would pair the outfit with a pair of Torrid nude wedges. I love the wedge portion, it ads a bit of earthyness (if that's even a word lol) to the outfit and the patent portion of the shoe ads chicness.

The necklace has floral pieces and different bobbles that I thought screamed spring. I bought this necklace from Dots last summer. I love adding long dangly necklaces to outfits. I can just throwit on an go.

I hope you liked this outfit. If you have any requests please leave a comment down below.

Take care loves,
xoxo

Review: Maybelline Color Whisper by Color Sensational Lip Colors

Hey dolls,
I have been trying these lippies out for a while now and I thought I would do a quick review for you. If you don't already know, these are the Mayeblline Color Whisper by Color Sesnsational lip colors. Maybelline states this product is a pure color pigment suspended in a weightless gel and does not have any heavy oils or waxes.

I would consider this product to be more of a lip butter than a lipstick. I say this because of the high moisture content and the shine that this product gives, but is pigmented like a lipstick. The Whisper colors have a wide range of 20 colors, so if you are looking for a more neutral color you can go with "Go Nude", or if you're looking for something more vibrant you can go with "Cherry On Top."

You can find these little gems at your local drugstore or even supermarkets like Walmart, Target ect. Prices will vary depending on where you purchase them, but will cost you anywhere between $5.50-$6.99. If you're lucky enough you can catch a deal at Walgreens or CVS and get them on a BOGO offer.

I love how the color just glides on with ease, it's super smooth and creamy. Usually I have to apply a lip moisturizer prior to applying lip color but I don't need to with these. The Whisper color keeps my lips moisturized all day and definitely doesn't dry my lips out whats-so-ever. If you are looking for a lip color that's effortless, can apply on the go, I would definitely recommend this product.

Cons??? The staying power of this product isn't the best. Since it's a slippery consistency this product will transfer. This really isn't too much of an issue with me, I can just reapply throughout the day. I can also see this product melting easily because of the buttery consistency, so I wouldn't leave it in the car on a warm day otherwise you may come back to a mess.

Overall, I would really recommend these little gems. I love the color variety, the price is right, the  pigmentation is very good and they are moisturizing to the lips.

Take care sweeties

Review: Milani Color Statement Lipsticks

Hey Dolls,
I have been trying the new Milani Color Statement Lipsticks for a few weeks now and have completely fell in love with them. I've been a big fan of Milani Cosmetics for a while now so I knew the quality of these lippies were going to be great. I love the fact that Milani always has bold, bright colors in their lipsticks and also manage to fit in a few neutrals.

You can find the lipsticks on Milani's website:
http://www.milanicosmetics.com/p-153-color-statement-lipstick.aspx

You can also find these lipsticks are your local drugstore such as Walgreens, CVS or Rite Aid

This lipstick collection has quite a variety to offer. There are 30 shades in this collection and there are different finishes such as: Vinyl, Metallic, Cream, Shimmer, Pearl & Matte. What's even better is these little babies here aren't going to break the bank, they will only cost you $5.49 each.

The quality of these lipsticks are better than some high end brand lippies out there, they are super creamy, pigmented and smell amazing. If you aren't a fan of scents in your cosmetics these may be a turn off for you, but I love the fruity smell. The color just glides onto your lips with ease and the color has staying power. If you want even more of a long lasting effect take a tissue, place it over your lips and pat some translucent powder over it. This little trick will keep your lipstick in place all day/night.

Another great benefit to these lipsticks is that they are super moisturizing. Now that it's still cold outside I tend to slather on lip balm, but these lippies have vitamins A, C & E to moisturize and nourish my lips to keep them smooth and soft.

Go pick yours up now!! :)

Take care sweeties

First Date Makeup Tutorial Using Drugstore Products

Hey dolls,
I was requested to do a first date makeup look and this is what I came up with :)
You can check out my live tutorial below. I wanted a look that was simple, flirty but not "BAM" in your face. Lashes are always optional, since my lashes are non-existant I always apply false lashes to bump up the look.

I love how when the eyes are open it doesn't look like I have much eyeshadow on but when I blink you get to see a little bit of glittery gold and smokeyness(if that's even a word lol).

Here is a list of products used for this tutorial:

Plus Size Haulage: Torrid

Hey dolls,
I have another plus size haul for you :) This time I made a purchase from Torrid. I have been shopping from Torrid for such a long time! I absolutely love their clothing. Their clothing is sexy, chic and fashionable.
Check out my video below to check out the pieces I picked up from my most recent purchase.

Though I love Torrid's clothing, I'm not a fan of how much their clothing costs. The clothing can be pricey but once I get my package and try on the clothing I completely forget how much I paid for everything. When I try something on and I feel good about myself and love how it fits me, you can never put a price on that!
It's really a hit or a miss with Torrid jeans, but the jeans I recently purchased(picture below) really fit me well. they are the curvy skinny jean. These jeans have a hire waist so there's no gaping in the back and I don't have to worry about whale tale :) (butt crack) showing.

I have recently been into off the shoulder tops and it's rare to find these types of tops anywhere else and torrid really nails these tops! They are super comfy and are super sexy. I recently got a half sleeve tattoo on my arm and I love how these tops show off my new tattoo :)

The last tope I purchased(picture below) is a beautiful emerald green with black lace striping. When I wore this top to work I just paired it with a black cami, but when I go out with the girls or out to dinner with the hubby I may just have to wear a black bra with it :) I love tops that are sexy but can also reveal a lil somethin, somethin :)

That's it for this post dolls :) you can always check out my youtube channel www.youtube.com/laura62484 for more clothing hauls and beauty tutorials :)
