Kim Kardashian Inspired Outfit - Maxi Dress

Hey dolls,
I thought I would do a new series of celebrity inspired outfits. If you don't already know, I'm a huge fan of the Kardashian sisters and I saw this picture of Kim Kardashian and was inspired.

Who said chunky girls shouldn't wear stripes?? I like to be adventurous with my clothing. If someone says one shouldn't wear a specific clothing item I always try to find a way to work it into my wardrobe and make sure it suits my body type.

I found this striped maxi dress at Lane Bryant. I love how the stripes go off in different directions and how the dress lays on my body, it's not too form fitting and it's made with a lightweight material so it's especially great with this warm weather we are having.

In one of the pictures Kim K. sported a pendant necklace and found this owl necklace in my collection and thought it bring character to my outfit :)

I know Kim K. wore a black blazer in one of the pictures but I was going to a family bbq so I just threw on this jean jacket from Old Navy.

I love my Michael Kors watch. It always adds a bit of glitz and glam to my outfits. On my other hand is a charm bracelet that my hubby and mom gave me one year for my birthday :)

Lastly, I just threw on a pair of sandals I bought on clearance at Torrid. They are super comfortable and stylish.

Take care dolls,
xoxo

Mac Cometics Tropical Taboo Haul and Swatches

Hey dolls,
It's been a while since I've been excited about a Mac Cosmetics collection. I love Mac's mineral products and when I saw the Tropical Taboo collection was practically an all mineral line I knew I had to pick up a few items.

I LOVE the mineralized skin finishes (MSF's) and I try to collect ones that are unique and aren't like anything else I have in my collection. The eyeshadows are gorgeous when used wet. When you dampen your eyeshadow brush with fix + or any type of mixing medium and pick up some of the product and apply it to your lids the color payoff and shimmer to these shadows is amazing!!

If you want to see a dupes post on these items please leave a comment below and I post a dupes list with swatches!! :)

Of all the items I picked up I would definitely pick up the MSF's because they are pretty universal. You could use them as highlights, blushes, as an eyeshadow ect.

Mac Mineralized Blush in Exotic Ember

Mac Mineralized Skin Finish in Adored

Mac Mineralized Skin Finish in Rio

Mac Mineralized Lipstick in Lady at Play

Mac Mineralized Eyeshadow in Cha-Cha-Cha

Remember, if you want to see a dupes post leave a comment below!!!

love ya dolls

Rocker Chic

Hey dolls,
I know, I know, I'm ALLLLLLLLL about color, but I thought I would do an OOTD that's geared towards all of you that like to wear black. My hubby and I were actually going to a concert and I thought I would bust out my inner rocker chick :)

This entire outfit is actually from Asos Curve except the shoes. I really like Asos Curve. I love the way their pieces fit my curvy body shape and their pieces are edgy and chic. The top has studded pockets on the front (I really wish I would have taken pics of the pockets), and the top has a high low hem. Find the top here: http://us.asos.com//Asos-Curve/Asos-Curve-Exclusive-Dip-Back-Top-With-Studs/Prod/pgeproduct.aspx?iid=2543411

OMG!!! The leggings are my favorite part of the outfit. They are a basic jet black color but the have the most beautiful beadwork on them. The beautiful silver beads and pearls really add a chic element to the outfit. I must say though :( the quality of these leggings is poor. Throughout the night a few of the beads fell off which was a huge disappointment. I'm hoping I might have just gotten a defective pair and these leggings really aren't made that cheaply. Find the leggings here: http://us.asos.com/ASOS-CURVE-Leggings-With-Embellishment/zaiop/?iid=2574446&mporgp=L0FTT1MtQ3VydmUvQVNPUy1DVVJWRS1MZWdnaW5ncy1XaXRoLUVtYmVsbGlzaG1lbnQvUHJvZC8.

The leather jacket is also from Asos Curve and is really good quality. The jacket is super soft and comfortable. I love the zipper detail at the sleeves as well, it makes it really easy to roll up the sleeves. You can find the jacket here: http://us.asos.com/ASOS-CURVE-Leather-Biker-Jacket/ycdth/?iid=2280006&mporgp=L0Fzb3MtQ3VydmUvQXNvcy1DdXJ2ZS1MZWF0aGVyLUJpa2VyLUphY2tldC9Qcm9kLw..

I actually bought this bracelet at a local gas station lol, don't judge lol. I really wish the camera would have picked up the bling factor in this bracelet, it's absolutely gorgeous.

These cute studded flats are from Lane Bryant. They are super comfy yet very chic. I have been on a studded anything kick lately and fell in love with these flats at first sight. I feel like they add an edgy chicness to the outfit. You can find the shoes here: http://www.lanebryant.com/studded-smoking-slipper/p173633/index.pro?selectedColor=None%20selected&selectedSize=None%20selected

Plus Size OOTD: Bright Bold Prints

Hey dolls,
Spring time to me is all about bold bright prints. I don't know about you, but when I add color to my outfit it perks up my mood :)

I absolutely love this top!! I bought this button down at Target and it stopped me in my tracks. I knew when I saw it I had to have it. This top has two of my favorite colors, coral and fuchsia, how could I not get it! You can get the top here: http://www.target.com/p/xhilaration-junior-s-plus-size-3-4-sleeve-pleated-top-gray-floral/-/A-14374174#prodSlot=medium_1_5&term=plus+size+floral

The belt I bought from Torrid a few years back and it's also in one of my favorite colors, PURPLE. The belt has an elastic band so it hugged my curves oh so well. I love the buckle detail in the from that has a jewel closure.

The jeans are by Ecko Red. They are just a basic skinny jean that I purchased several months ago at www.DRJays.com THey have really affordable name brand plus size clothing. Under the floral top I'm just wearing a basic cami top from Lane Bryant.

I can't remember where I purchased this bracelet, but I love how dainty and feminine it is. I thought the bracelet added more femininity to the outfit. Plus, I love how it has the "D" charm :) reminds me of my husband, who's name is Danny.

I paired the outfit with these gray mid calf boots from OneStopPlus. I thought the boots went well with the gray background in the top. I love the knot bow detail on the boot. You can check these boots out here: http://www.onestopplus.com/clothing/Heather-wide-calf-scrunch-boot-by-Comfortview.aspx?PfId=180947&DeptId=20351&ProductTypeId=1&PurchaseType=G&pref=ps

Lastly, This adorable Jessica Simpson clutch. I bought this a while ago from Marshalls. I love the rich turquoise color and the stitching detail. It's super roomy and lightweight. It also makes the turquoise colors in the top pop!

Please leave all your comments and requests down below :)

Plus Size OOTD: Spring Trend Mint

Hey Dolls,
The weather is finally starting to warm up in Chicago!!!! I got out of my cold weather funk and thought I would bust out one of my favorite colors...Mint!!

I really like this pinstriped blazer from Merona. The material kind of feels like you're wearing a sweatshirt, it's crazy comfortable and I love the contrast of when you roll up the sleeves. I picked up this baby at Target for only $29.99
http://www.target.com/p/merona-women-s-plus-size-long-sleeve-blazer-sand-black/-/A-14319504#prodSlot=medium_1_2&term=plus+size+blazer

I also picked up the mint cami at Target as well. It was also a steal at only $10. The cami is very form fitting and I feel that it's snug enough that it works as shapewear. The lace bust line really adds a feminine, sexy touch that I appreciate.

The jeans are from Not Your Daughters Jeans. I have worn these jeans in a previous OOTD. I absolutely love this jean line. I'm not sure what NYDJ does, but these jeans feel like they were specifically made for me. The jeans hug my curves, slims me, and are super comfortable.

The bangles are from Dots, I purchases these a few months ago and the watch was bought from Torrid a fews ago as well.

I'm so excited about this necklace!! It looks like I've spent a fortune on it but it was only $7.99 at Burlington Coat Factory. I fell in love with all their accessories and they are super cheap, but not in quality.

This little clutch I purchased from the Coach Outlet Store. I love the flower and stud detailing. I'm always looking for pieces that are unique and different.

Lastly, the shoes :) I picked these bad girls up at Dots a few days ago. I love the stud detailing on the toes and they have a patent finish. Super cute and edgy!!

Review: Revlon Colorburst Lip Butters

Hey dolls,
I know these cuties have been on the market for quite some time now, but I wanted to try these out and give you a thorough review on the product :)
I absolutely love the packaging. Yes, I'm a sucker for cute packaging, what girl isn't? It's simple, sleek and I love that the color of the packaging matches the color that's in the tube and so does the sticker on the bottom.

I only picked up four of the 20 colors they offer only because I wasn't really impressed in their color selection. These were the colors that caught my attention. Every girl needs a nude, pink, coral and some type of wine color in their collection :) that's my motto.

These cuties will run you anywhere from $6.99 to $7.99 depending on where you purchase them.  Since you can find them at your local drugstore you can most likely get them on a BOGO deal.

Revlon states that these are buttery balms with beautiful shiny color that will give you baby soft, healthy glowing lips. As you can see from the picture above they are super creamy and have a buttery texture. While swatching and using just a little pressure it kind of deformed the product. These butters do give off a high gloss effect that I like. It eliminates the step of using a gloss on top. Some of the butters have a creamy opaque finish and others have shimmer  in them. The only issue is when the product wears off the lips all that's left is the glitter and that's a turn off for me.

Overall I would recommend this product. It's great for everyday use. I can just grab and go, apply it quickly and I don't have to worry about applying another product like a gloss to give it shine.  Just be careful while applying because the lip butter is super soft and creamy.

Take care loves,
xoxo

OOTD(Outfit Of The Day)- Spring Florals

Hey dolls,
I don't know about you, but I'm ready for spring weather already!! Since I can't have the warm weather I thought I'd brighten my mood with fresh spring colors :)

A few weeks ago I saw these floral jeans on the Torrid website and fell in love!! I was kind of hesitant on purchasing them because I didn't know how the big bold print would look on my plus size body but I decided to jump in and purchase them right away!! I'm glad I did because they look great on me :) You can purchase these jeans here:

http://www.torrid.com/torrid/DenimBoutique/ShopAllDenim//Torrid+Denim+-+Sophia+Vintage+Rose+Skinny+Jeans-528672.jsp

Since it's still chilly outside I paired this outfit with a heather gray shrug. I purchased this item from my local Goodwill store and it doesn't have a tag :/ so I'm not sure of the brand. It's a cute, comfortable piece that has 3/4 sleeves.

The baby pink sleeveless top is also from Torrid. I'm usually not a fan of button up tops but the lace detailing on the back of this top really caught my attention. The material is so light and breezy. Since this top is somewhat sheer, I wore a white cami from Lane Bryant. You can find the baby pink top here: http://www.torrid.com/torrid/Clothing/Tops//Pink+Lace+Inset+Sleeveless+Button-Up+Top-586729.jsp

I bought this braided pearl and chain bracelet from Ebay. This piece is very unique and edgy, but also has a bit of class with the pearls.

The cute bow ring I won in a contest. It's a silver plated ring with a bow that's encrusted in crystals. The ring adds a simple feminine touch to the outfit.

My nails are a cute mint green color (Mint Sorbet from Sally Hansen) with a gold chevron nail design (Gold polish is Gold Album from the Fergie Wet N Wild collection).

Since there's a lot of color going on in the outfit I thought I would pair the outfit with a pair of Torrid nude wedges. I love the wedge portion, it ads a bit of earthyness (if that's even a word lol) to the outfit and the patent portion of the shoe ads chicness.

The necklace has floral pieces and different bobbles that I thought screamed spring. I bought this necklace from Dots last summer. I love adding long dangly necklaces to outfits. I can just throwit on an go.

I hope you liked this outfit. If you have any requests please leave a comment down below.

Take care loves,
xoxo

Review: Maybelline Color Whisper by Color Sensational Lip Colors

Hey dolls,
I have been trying these lippies out for a while now and I thought I would do a quick review for you. If you don't already know, these are the Mayeblline Color Whisper by Color Sesnsational lip colors. Maybelline states this product is a pure color pigment suspended in a weightless gel and does not have any heavy oils or waxes.

I would consider this product to be more of a lip butter than a lipstick. I say this because of the high moisture content and the shine that this product gives, but is pigmented like a lipstick. The Whisper colors have a wide range of 20 colors, so if you are looking for a more neutral color you can go with "Go Nude", or if you're looking for something more vibrant you can go with "Cherry On Top."

You can find these little gems at your local drugstore or even supermarkets like Walmart, Target ect. Prices will vary depending on where you purchase them, but will cost you anywhere between $5.50-$6.99. If you're lucky enough you can catch a deal at Walgreens or CVS and get them on a BOGO offer.

I love how the color just glides on with ease, it's super smooth and creamy. Usually I have to apply a lip moisturizer prior to applying lip color but I don't need to with these. The Whisper color keeps my lips moisturized all day and definitely doesn't dry my lips out whats-so-ever. If you are looking for a lip color that's effortless, can apply on the go, I would definitely recommend this product.

Cons??? The staying power of this product isn't the best. Since it's a slippery consistency this product will transfer. This really isn't too much of an issue with me, I can just reapply throughout the day. I can also see this product melting easily because of the buttery consistency, so I wouldn't leave it in the car on a warm day otherwise you may come back to a mess.

Overall, I would really recommend these little gems. I love the color variety, the price is right, the  pigmentation is very good and they are moisturizing to the lips.

Take care sweeties
xoxo
